23-14

Such a beautiful score. It makes me wonder... how would Monty Python incorporate such a number into their skits?

The Dreaded Knights who say... 23-14 (Ni)!!!!!

HEAD KNIGHT: 23-14!
RANDOM KNIGHTS: 23-14! 23-14! 23-14! 23-14!
ARTHUR: Who are you?
HEAD KNIGHT: We are the Knights Who Say... '23-14'!
RANDOM: 23-14!
ARTHUR: No! Not the Knights Who Say '23-14'!
HEAD KNIGHT: The same!
BEDEVERE: Who are they?
HEAD KNIGHT: We are the keepers of the sacred words: Twenty-Three to Fourteen!
RANDOM: 23-14!
ARTHUR: Those who hear them seldom live to tell the tale!
HEAD KNIGHT: The Knights Who Say '23-14' demand a sacrifice!
ARTHUR: Knights of uh, erm, Knights who say '23-14', we are but simple travelers who seek the enchanter who lives beyond these woods.
HEAD KNIGHT: 23-14!
KNIGHTS: 23-14! 23-14! 23-14! 23-14!...
RANDOM: Ni! ((random knight #14 gets shot for breaking character))
ARTHUR: Ow! Ow! Ow! Agh!
HEAD KNIGHT: We shall say '23-14' again to you if you do not appease us.
ARTHUR: Well, what is it you want?
HEAD KNIGHT: We want... a shrubbery! One of the hedges from Jordan-Hare Stadium at Auburn!
[dramatic chord]
ARTHUR: A what?
RANDOM KNIGHTS: 23-14! 23-14! 23-14! 23-14!
ARTHUR and PARTY: Ow! Oh!
ARTHUR: Please, please! No more! We will find you a shrubbery.
HEAD KNIGHT: You must return here with a shrubbery or else you will never pass through this wood alive!
ARTHUR: O Knights who say '23-14', you are just and fair, and we will return with a shrubbery.
HEAD KNIGHT: One that looks nice.
ARTHUR: Of course.
HEAD KNIGHT: And not too expensive.
ARTHUR: Yes.
HEAD KNIGHT: Now... go!

On second thought this may be a little far-fetched, even for Monty Python... but you get the idea.

The game saturday was of course a disappointment to me...However, it was a classic display of what the difference in experience can make. I saw a lot of potential with Auburn but complete lack of experience. Tech has a great team on their hands it looks like. I'd love to see them have a great season and kick butt every game! :)

23-14 does have a nice ring to it. It goes well with the 17-3 score that I still need to write on my piece of goalpost from 2 years ago. The other scores that I really liked this weekend was 17-10 (TCU over Oklahoma) and 25-24 (Climpsu*suck*n over Texas Tech). Those games, including ours, really showed that the ACC is a conference not to be taken lightly. I want to see an ACC team take on Texas for the national championship this year.

For all of you Auburn fans, good game, good luck with the rest of your schedule, and (above all) beat U*sic*GA.

Have you kicked your dog today?

Just a few notes...

Krista - sorry that you had to see your team get beaten by your other team. You're absolutely right though - Tech won because they have more experienced players. Auburn is deeper though, and they will have a good team.

Tim - 17-3 is also a great score. *sniff* What's that I smell? Is it... a winning streak? I believe it is. Oh, and Climpsuck beat Texas A&M, not Tech. :)

I don't have a dog (or dawg for that matter), but if I kick my cat would that be a good substitute?

Oops...yeah, I meant to say A&M. That is what I get for trying to be intelligent that late at night after watching football all day (that game included) around working in the yard. Ah well, enjoy the game tonight and GO 'CANES!
